What is the usual chatter you have with yourself?
I am not good enough! I am not loved! I am sick! I am better than you! I am always right! I am not intelligent enough! I am not rich! I don’t have enough! I don’t like myself!
….. you know where I am going with this one, don’t you?
But let me tell you a secret …. You’re not alone… I used to do it too!
Sometimes we are conscious of these thoughts and sometimes not.
They are so automatic, they are so ingrained in our minds that we don’t even notice them anymore.
You see, you process 60,000 to 70,000 thoughts in one day and 90% of those thoughts are the same as the day before.
So what is the likelihood of something happening different in your life if 90% of those thoughts, conscious or unconscious are the same thoughts of the day before?
Because the same thoughts will always lead to same choices, the same choices will lead to the same behaviours, the same behaviours will create the same experiences and the same experiences will lead to the same emotions, which is an expression of how you think, feel and act.
How you think, feel and act is called your personality and your personality creates your personal reality. That’s it!
To change your personal reality you need to start changing the way you think and before that you need to start listening to what you think.
